Secondly, learn the basics of the game. Majority of online poker players do not know the basic of the game. Don't be one of them! So gain proper experience with the support of basic knowledge! You wouldn’t want to look like a fool in a poker game, would you?

Thirdly, plan and manage your money. Decide the amount of money you are willing to put up and the level of stakes you should be playing at. Do not forget to place a bankroll aside that will endure you the staying power for at least two hundreds bets. Remember not play in high stake games unless you have enough experience and money to make it through. It never hurt to start small and work your way up.

Next, keep learning to widen up your knowledge. Don't stop at the basics. Keep learning all the time and do some readings at least twice per month to strengthen up your strategy. Be alert to new poker ideas and strategies too. You should be open to learn from others.

Equipping yourself to only perfected skills will not do it in poker. It's a game of psychology! To win is to know how to control the game and opponents mentally. Be vigilant with your opponents’ playing style compared to your way. Never underestimate them or yourself.

Last but not least, always reflect your play. After every game, sit back, reflect and analyse your play. You should always determine reasons to your lost, your wins, your failed bluffs, your backfire tactics and such. Learn from it and improvise your overall strategies and play, constantly.

No one can judge a poker player. It's very subjective as everyone is uniquely different. But anyone can be labelled as a good poker player as long as they win more than losing, and this come down to your own personalised strategy. So strategies your game well and good luck!
